Privacy Notice
1. Who we are
Maslen Digital is an Irish web design and development business.
For the purposes of this Privacy Notice, the data controller is:

Email: hello@maslendigital.ie
This Privacy Notice explains how Maslen Digital processes personal data relating to visitors, prospective customers, clients and other people who interact with us.
2. What this notice covers
This notice applies to personal data Maslen Digital processes for its own business purposes, including through:
- MaslenDigital.ie;
- quote and contact forms;
- email;
- proposals and contracts;
- client onboarding;
- invoicing and payments;
- customer support; and
- website analytics where enabled.
It does not govern personal data that Maslen Digital processes solely on behalf of a client through a client's website or system.
Where Maslen Digital acts as a processor for a client, that processing is governed by the client's instructions and, where applicable, the separate Data Processing Addendum.

- name;
- business name;
- email address;
- phone number, if supplied;
- current website, if supplied;
- type of service required;
- approximate budget;
- preferred launch date;
- information contained in your project description; and
- a record of your privacy acknowledgement/consent where applicable.
We deliberately avoid requesting information that is not reasonably necessary to assess the enquiry.
Client and project information
If you become a client, we may additionally process:
- business and billing information;
- correspondence;
- proposals and quotations;
- contracts and approvals;
- onboarding information;
- project requirements;
- domain and technical account information;

- other information necessary to deliver and administer the project.
Payment information
Project payments may be made by bank transfer. Recurring Website Care payments and some other payments may be processed through Stripe.
Maslen Digital does not intend to collect or store raw payment-card details.
Where Stripe processes a payment, Maslen Digital may receive information such as:
- customer/payment identifier;
- payment amount;
- payment status;

Payment-card information is handled through the relevant payment provider's systems.

4. Why we use personal data
| Purpose | Typical lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Responding to an enquiry or quote request | Steps prior to entering a contract and/or legitimate interests |
| Preparing proposals and discussing a project | Pre-contractual steps and/or legitimate interests |
| Delivering contracted services | Performance of a contract |
| Managing client relationships | Contract and/or legitimate interests |
| Invoicing and payment administration | Contract and legal obligations |
| Keeping accounting/tax records | Legal obligation |

| Non-essential website analytics | Consent |
| Direct electronic marketing, if introduced | Appropriate consent or another legally permitted basis |
Where legitimate interests are relied upon, the relevant interests normally include operating and protecting Maslen Digital, communicating with businesses and clients, administering projects and maintaining appropriate business records.
Where consent is the basis for processing, consent may be withdrawn without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
5. Quote forms
The Maslen Digital quote form is intended to collect enough information to assess whether a project is suitable and provide an appropriate response.
Some fields are required because Maslen Digital cannot reasonably assess a quotation without them. Optional information does not need to be supplied.
Submitting a quote request does not oblige you to purchase services or create a contract.
Quote information will not automatically be added to a marketing list.
6. Marketing
Maslen Digital does not intend to treat ordinary quote enquiries as permission to send unrelated marketing emails.
If an optional marketing list or newsletter is introduced, marketing consent will be separate from the privacy acknowledgement required to submit an enquiry.
People receiving electronic marketing will be given an appropriate means to opt out.
7. Cookies and analytics
MaslenDigital.ie may use:
- technically necessary storage;
- consent-preference storage; and
- Google Analytics or other analytics technologies where enabled.
Non-essential cookies or equivalent tracking technologies will not intentionally be activated before the required consent is obtained.
More information is provided in the Maslen Digital Cookie Policy.
8. Who receives personal data
Maslen Digital may use service providers to operate the business. Depending on the service involved, these may include:
- Supabase: Database/backend infrastructure.
- Resend: Transactional email delivery.
- Google Workspace: Business email and productivity services.
- Google Analytics: Website analytics, where enabled following consent.

- Public authorities: Where disclosure is required by law.
Maslen Digital will not sell personal data.
9. International transfers
Some technology providers may process or make personal data accessible outside Ireland or the European Economic Area.
Where an international transfer requires safeguards under data-protection law, Maslen Digital will use the appropriate contractual or other lawful transfer mechanism applicable to the provider and processing.
The final published Privacy Notice should identify relevant transfer arrangements once the actual provider accounts and regions have been configured.
10. How long we keep information
Personal data will not be retained longer than reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it is held, subject to legal, accounting and dispute-related requirements.
Unsuccessful enquiries
Normally reviewed/deleted approximately 12 months after the last meaningful contact, unless there is a legitimate reason to retain them longer.
Client/project information
Retained for the duration of the client relationship and afterwards where reasonably necessary for contractual, legal, insurance, accounting or dispute purposes.
Accounting and tax records
Relevant business records may need to be retained for six years in accordance with applicable Revenue record-keeping requirements.
Analytics
Retention depends on the configured analytics service and consent settings.
Security information
Retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for security, troubleshooting or legal purposes.
11. Security
Maslen Digital will use reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the data being processed. Depending on the system, these may include:
- HTTPS;
- appropriate authentication;
- multi-factor authentication for important accounts where supported;
- access restrictions;
- password/secrets management;
- server-side form validation;
- database security controls;
- environment variables for sensitive credentials;
- backups;
- monitoring; and
- appropriate software/dependency maintenance.
No internet-connected service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
12. Your data-protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights including:
- access to your personal data;
- correction of inaccurate data;
- erasure;
- restriction of processing;

These rights are subject to the conditions and exemptions provided by applicable law.
13. Exercising your rights
To make a data-protection request, contact:
Email: hello@maslendigital.ie
Maslen Digital may need to confirm your identity where reasonably necessary before providing personal data or acting on a request.
14. Complaints
If you have a concern about how your personal data is handled, you can contact Maslen Digital first so the issue can be investigated.
You also have the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission in Ireland.
15. Automated decision-making
Maslen Digital does not currently intend to make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about individuals solely through automated processing.
The quote form may perform automated technical tasks such as validation or spam detection, but these do not independently decide whether Maslen Digital will accept a commercial project.
16. Changes to this notice
This Privacy Notice may be updated where business processes, providers, processing activities or legal requirements change. The latest version will be published on MaslenDigital.ie with an updated revision date.
Website Terms of Use

By using this website, you agree to use it in accordance with these Terms.
2. These are not the client contract

If there is a conflict concerning paid client services, the relevant client agreement applies.
3. Information on this website
Maslen Digital aims to keep the information on this website accurate and reasonably current.
Website content is provided primarily to explain Maslen Digital, available services, indicative pricing, previous work, Website Care and how to request a quote.
Information on the website is general and does not constitute legal, tax, accounting, financial or other regulated professional advice.
4. Pricing
Prices and ranges shown on MaslenDigital.ie are indicative unless expressly stated otherwise.
Final project pricing depends on the agreed scope and will be confirmed through a separate Proposal or quotation.
Submitting a quote request does not create a contract or oblige either party to proceed.
5. Availability of services
Displaying a service on MaslenDigital.ie does not guarantee that Maslen Digital will accept every project, has immediate availability, can meet every requested deadline, or will provide functionality outside the agreed risk/capability profile.
Projects may be declined where, for example, requirements are unsuitable, unlawful, materially insecure, outside available capacity or outside applicable insurance arrangements.
6. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, the content and materials created for MaslenDigital.ie, including branding, written content, layouts, graphics, website design and Maslen Digital-owned code, are owned by or licensed to Maslen Digital.
You may view and use the website for ordinary personal or business-information purposes.
You may not, without permission:

- present Maslen Digital material as your own;
- copy the website branding;
- republish portfolio materials outside ordinary linking/sharing;
- remove copyright or ownership notices; or
- use Maslen Digital intellectual property in a misleading manner.
Third-party logos, screenshots and other material remain the property of their respective owners.
7. Portfolio and case-study material
Maslen Digital may display genuine examples of completed work where appropriate permission has been obtained.
Any performance figures, testimonials or results presented should relate to the specific project described. Website visitors must not assume that results achieved for one project guarantee equivalent results for another.
8. Acceptable use
You must not intentionally use MaslenDigital.ie to:
- break applicable law;
- attempt unauthorised access to systems or data;
- probe or exploit security vulnerabilities without permission;
- distribute malware;
- interfere with the operation of the website;
- submit deliberately false or malicious form data;
- overwhelm forms or infrastructure with automated requests;
- impersonate another person or business; or
- misuse website content or services for fraudulent purposes.
Maslen Digital may take reasonable technical measures to prevent abuse.
9. Quote and contact forms
Information submitted through a quote or contact form must be reasonably accurate.
Submitting a form:
- does not create a client relationship;
- does not reserve a project slot;
- does not guarantee that Maslen Digital will provide a quote; and
- does not replace a signed Website Design & Development Agreement.
Personal data submitted through forms is handled in accordance with the Privacy Notice.
10. Third-party websites and services
MaslenDigital.ie may contain links to third-party websites or services.
Maslen Digital does not control those websites and is not responsible for their content, availability, security or privacy practices merely because a link is provided. A link does not automatically constitute endorsement.
11. Website availability
Maslen Digital aims to operate and maintain MaslenDigital.ie responsibly but does not guarantee that the public website will be continuously available or completely error-free.
Temporary interruptions may occur because of maintenance, hosting/provider failures, internet outages, security events or other technical circumstances.
12. Security
Maslen Digital takes reasonable steps to protect the website. However, no internet-connected website can be guaranteed to be entirely free of vulnerabilities, malicious activity or service disruption.
Visitors are responsible for using appropriate security practices on their own devices.
13. Search, performance and business results
Statements concerning SEO, performance, conversion or website effectiveness describe services or objectives rather than guaranteed outcomes.
Maslen Digital does not guarantee:
- particular Google rankings;
- indexing of every page;
- specific traffic levels;
- enquiries;
- revenue; or
- other commercial outcomes.
Any guarantees forming part of a specific client engagement must be expressly included in the applicable written agreement.
14. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
Subject to that principle, Maslen Digital will not be responsible merely because a visitor:
- relies on general website information instead of obtaining appropriate advice;
- experiences a third-party website failure;
- cannot access MaslenDigital.ie temporarily; or
- uses the website contrary to these Terms.
Any liability relating to paid Maslen Digital services is governed by the applicable client contract rather than this public Website Terms document.
15. Privacy and cookies
Use of personal data is explained in the Privacy Notice. Use of cookies and similar technologies is explained in the Cookie Policy. Those documents provide the relevant transparency information rather than being duplicated here.
16. Changes to the website
Maslen Digital may update content, change services, change indicative pricing, remove pages, modify features or update these Terms.
Changes to the public website do not retrospectively alter an existing client's agreed contract unless separately agreed under that contract.
17. Governing law
These Website Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland.
Subject to rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, disputes concerning these Website Terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
